In a game that was tied seven times, the Lake Forest College women's lacrosse team came out on top 14-11 at Aurora University on Wednesday.
Junior
Jenna Doctor earned her 21st career hat trick and fifth in a row less than 20 minutes into the contest, scored her fourth before halftime, and added a fifth late in the game. She leads the Foresters with 28 goals on the season.
After racking up 28 points in the previous three games combined, senior
Ryleigh Nelson finished with seven on four goals and three assists on Wednesday. She entered the game tied for fourth in the nation with 18 assists and 20th with 32 points.
Fellow senior
Ali Graham also recorded a hat trick and added an assist while sophomore
Emma Sharp scored one goal and set up three. Graham also picked up five ground balls, caused a pair of turnovers, and led the visitors with six draw controls.

Savannah Frauhiger with seven and she matched Graham's two caused turnovers. Sophomore
Alex Cook paced the Foresters in the latter category with three.
The game was tied at one and two in the first quarter, which ended with the home team ahead 3-2. Doctor knotted the score at four and gave the Foresters their first lead of the contest early in the second. Spartan goals tied the score at four and again at six just before halftime.
The game was tied again at seven and eight before Sharp's goal with five minutes to play in the third put Lake Forest on top for good. Graham and Nelson added to the lead but an Aurora goal made the score 11-9 with a quarter to play. The teams alternated scores in the fourth with Graham assisting Nelson, Nelson setting up junior
Krissy Kuwahara, and Sharp finding Doctor for the final score of the contest.
Lake Forest is now 4-2 and Aurora 1-4 this season.
The Foresters will host Concordia University Wisconsin next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
