The Lake Forest College softball team defeated The College of Wooster 6-3 in Hilton Head, South Carolina, on Thursday and is now 3-0 during its Spring Break trip.
The Foresters took a 2-1 lead with victories in two of the three doubles matches. Sophomore
Rebecca Daskal and freshman
Kate Feist did not drop a game to the Fighting Scots' #3 tandem while sophomore
Kristen Ahn and junior
Sara Lopez rolled 8-1 at #2.
Lake Forest also prevailed at each of the bottom four spots in the singles lineup. Senior
Margaret Bugnacki took the first set 7-5 and the second 6-1 at #3 and the match-clinching point was provided by Feist's 6-0, 6-0 victory at #5. Daskal was nearly as dominant during her 6-0, 6-1 win at #6 and Lopez closed out the contest by taking both sets 6-4 at #4.
The victory was the Foresters' fourth in a row and they improved to 13-3 on the season. Wooster fell to 2-8.
Lake Forest will take on Gettysburg College in the team's final match of the trip Friday at 1:00 p.m. (ET)
