The Forester men's basketball team came out on top of a back-and-forth battle at Lawrence University Tuesday evening, prevailing 80-73.
The game featured six lead changes in the first half and seven in the first five-and-a-half minutes of the second. Lake Forest led by eight with 10 minutes to play but the Vikings came back and tied the score at 68 with 3:45 remaining. A running jumper in the lane by senior

Alex Knight on their next possession gave the visitors a four-point advantage.
Lawrence trimmed the margin to two with 1:57 remaining and got the ball back with a chance to tie the game or take the lead. Forester freshman wing
Coltrane Marchand, however, stole the ball, drew a foul, and made both free throws with 1:14 on the clock. The Vikings pulled back to within two with 56 seconds to play but scored just one more point the rest of the way. A spinning basket in the paint by sophomore wing
Alex Forowycz and four made free throws in six tries in the final 15 seconds closed out the contest.
Knight led all players in the game with 33 points after scoring 34 in Saturday's victory over Grinnell College. He shot 13-for-23 from the field and added eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals. Junior wing
Michael Michaud added 14 points and matched Knight's rebound total while Forowycz finished with 13. Marchand chipped in with eight points and led Lake Forest with nine boards and four steals.
Both teams shot 49 percent from the field, although the Foresters had 13 more attempts thanks to a slight 35-33 edge in rebounds and 15 Viking turnovers, 10 of which came on Lake Forest steals.
The victory was the fifth in a row for the Foresters, who are now 8-14 overall and 6-7 in Midwest Conference play. Lawrence fell to 5-18 overall and 3-11 in the league.
Lake Forest will travel to first place Illinois College on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. tip-off.
