The Lake Forest College volleyball team dropped a three-set decision at the University of Chicago in its final match of the 2024 season on Sunday.
It was also the final collegiate match for the Foresters' four seniors.
Juli Barrientos led all players in the contest with 20 digs while
Rebekkah De Kok and
Riley Stapley had a team-high eight kills and three blocks, respectively.
Lauren Volk was one of three players on the team with multiple aces.
Sophomore
Meghan Winston reached double figures in digs with 10 and led Lake Forest with nine assist and four aces.
Chicago led throughout the first two sets, which the Maroons took 25-20 and 25-18. Set three was close early and the Foresters trailed by just two at 12-10 before the home team closed out the contest with a 13-6 run.
Barrientos finished her career ranked tied-for-eighth in program history with 125 career aces and ninth with 1,344 assists.
