The Lake Forest College cross country teams traveled to Rock Island, Illinois, on Saturday for the Augustana Interregional Invite, which included more than 1,400 runners.
The Forester women competed in the Gold Division and finished 35th. They were led by sophomores
Lettia Hoda and
Sophie Graham, who completed the 6-kilometer course in 24:31.5 and 24:48.8, respectively. Junior
Megan Dodrill was next on the team in a career-best 26:06.8.
On the men's side, freshman
Owen Lashenik led Lake Forest to a 27th-place finish in the Blue Division. His 8-kilometer time of 28:13.7 was also a career-best and put him comfortably in the top half of the 407-runner race. Senior
Bart Brophy was next on the squad in 28:45.4.
Colorado College was the team champion in the Women's Gold Race while Wartburg College won the men's Blue Division.
The Foresters will take next weekend off from competition ahead of the Midwest Conference Championships on Saturday, November 2.
