With the match against Grinnell set to decide the 2024 league title, the Pioneers started strong by taking the doubles point, despite a 6-1 victory by Strupovets and Dockal at #1.

After Grinnell earned points at #4 and #3, Strupovets came back to win 6-7 (2-7), 6-1, 6-3 to make the score 3-2 in favor of the visitors. Unfortunately for Lake Forest, the Pioneers came out on top in the other two singles matches to clinch the match and the conference title.
The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record to 9-1 and league mark to 5-1. Grinnell improved to 9-0 overall and finished 6-0 in MWC play.
Both teams will travel to Madison, Wisconsin, for next weekend's MWC Individual Tournaments.
