The Forester women's hockey team was defeated 1-0 at the College of St. Benedict on Friday.

The only goal of the game came from the Bennies' leading scorer at the 4:15 mark of the third period.

Lake Forest freshman goaltender Chelsea Denniss stopped each of the first 26 shots on goal she faced and made 33 saves in the contest. She now owns a .937 save percentage 1.80 goals against average on the year.

Saint Benedict had a 34-22 edge in shots and won 35 of 53 faceoffs on the day.

The loss dropped the Foresters' overall record this season to 9-7-0 while the Bennies improved to 7-4-0.

Lake Forest will resume Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play against Marian University next weekend. The teams will face off in Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse Friday evening at 5:00 and in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, a half-hour later on Saturday.
