The Forester women's cross country team placed 14th and the men 18th at Wheaton College's Gil Dodds Invitational on Saturday.
The women were led for the second time in as many meets by a pair of freshmen.
Sophie Graham finished 69th out of 256 runners and completed her first collegiate 6-kilometer race with time of 24:13.0.
Lettia Hoda was next on the team and 83rd overall at 24:36.7. The Foresters' third runner, junior
Delfina Jorgensen, finished 185th in 27:17.6.
The men's team was also led by the same runner as in the first meet of the season. Junior
Bart Brophy completed the 8K course in 29:08.4, good for 211th place in the 294-runner field. Sophomore
Patrick Cadiz was next at 31:31.4.
The University of Chicago finished first in both the women's and men's team standings.
Lake Forest will be back in action in two weeks at Beloit College's Olde English.
