Lake Forest College football player A.J. Jackson was named Midwest Conference Special Teams Performer of the Week on Monday for his role in Saturday's 50-0 victory at Knox College.

Jackson scored the game's first points on a yard punt return late in the first quarter. The fifth-year wide receiver fielded a bouncing punt at the Prairie Fire 49-yardline and headed toward the right sideline, where he broke a few tackles. He broke back toward the middle of the field before cutting right again and coasting into the end zone. Jackson amassed 109 yards on two punt returns and two kickoff returns and added a 24-yard reception in the contest. 

It was the ninth career punt return touchdown for Jackson, extending his NCAA Division III record.

MWC Performers of the Week are selected by the league's sports information directors. Jackson has now earned the honor six times in his career for his work on special teams and once on offense.
