Lake Forest College diver Heath Ogawa placed fourth in Friday's 1-meter diving competition and ninth off the 3-meter board on Saturday at the NCAA Division III Region 1 Diving Meet, which was held at Denison University.

Ogawa, a freshman, posted a score of 457.05 points on Friday to place fourth in the 23-diver field. He had the highest score of the six freshmen at the competition.

After a slow start on Saturday, Ogawa climbed to ninth place in the 3-meter event with 451.70 points.

Ten divers at the meet qualified for the NCAA Division III Championships, which will take place March 16-19 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
