Ryan Newman returned to the Foresters prior to the 2026 season as the team's director of analytics and strategy.
Newman previously spent two seasons at Lake Forest, where he created and led the team’s analytics department and worked with the wide receivers in 2021. Drawing on his experience at Sports Info Solutions, he directed nine analytics associates across more than 60 projects supporting opponent scouting, practice planning, game preparation, and strategic decision-making. His tenure included the Foresters’ undefeated 2021 regular season and Midwest Conference championship.
His other football experience includes analytics work with EdjSports and writing for multiple publications, including FantasyPros and BettingPros. Earlier in his career, Newman spent five years with the National Collegiate Scouting Association, finishing that span as director of college relations.
Newman graduated from fellow MWC member Ripon College in 2008. A Dean’s List student, he played for the Red Hawks from 2005-07, helped the program post a 19-8 conference record, and double-majored in business administration and economics.
