The 2027 season will be the first for Lindsey Majkrzak at Lake Forest College and eighth as a collegiate head coach.
Majkrzak came to Lake Forest after seven years as the head coach at NCAA Division II Northern Michigan University. The Wildcats were 66-45 overall in that span after posting a record of 8-38 during the previous three years. They broke the single-season program record for victories four years in a row with the 2024 squad's mark of 14-5 now atop the list. Her teams were also 25-19 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play and advanced to the GLIAC Tournament final each of the last four seasons.
Players at Northern Michigan have earned several awards during Majkrzak's tenure. She coached the GLIAC Freshman of the Year in 2023 and 2024, the GLIAC Defender of the Year in 2023, and the back-to-back GLIAC Attacker of the Year the last two seasons. Three different Wildcats have earned Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association All-Region accolades, including an IWLCA/USA Lacrosse Magazine Third Team All-American this spring. Players on the team also earned 40 all-conference accolades in a six-year span and Majkrzak herself was recognized with GLIAC Coach of the Year honors in 2023.
In addition to directing her team to unprecedented success on the field, Majkrzak has taken on numerous leadership roles off of it. She has served on multiple awards, polling, and ranking committees for the IWLCA and NCAA and has also represented Northern Michigan on league-wide committees. She was also art of several on-campus organizations, including one she helped start that focuses on mental health, and was recognized in 2024 by The Hidden Opponent as a coach "Setting the Standard" on mental health awareness.
Prior to becoming the head coach at North Michigan, Majkrzak was an assistant at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and the associate head coach at her alma mater, Corvalis High School in Oregon.
Majkrzac was an NCAA Division I athlete, competing in lacrosse at the University of Oregon and rowing at Oregon State University.
