The 2025 season was Keith Woodson's first at Lake Forest College and 14th as an assistant football coach.
The Foresters were 7-3 overall and tied for second in the Midwest Conference standings with a league mark of 7-2 during Woodson's first year on staff. Both starting cornerbacks and a safety earned Second Team All-MWC honors as defensive backs on the squad combined for more than 150 tackles, picked off four passes, and tallied 23 pass breakups.
Woodson spent the previous five years at the collegiate level, most recently at Lakeland University, his alma mater. He was also the defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator at Elmhurst University on 2022, the cornerbacks coach at Concordia University Chicago in 2021, and the defensive backs coach and pass game coordinator at Trinity International University in 2020. His coaching career began with an internship season at Lakeland in 2011.
At the prep level Woodson spent a season each at Niles North High School and Carmel Catholic High School and five at Evanston Township High School, his other alma mater.
As a player Woodson was a four-year starter, three-time all-conference cornerback, and two-year team captain at Lakeland. He finished his career with 14 interceptions and 167 tackles and graduated with a bachelor's degree in exercise science.
