Cory Anderson came to Lake Forest College in 2025 as an assistant men's hockey coach and facilities assistant.
The 2025-26 Foresters were 6-11-1 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Play and qualified for the NCHA Harris Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2023.
Prior to coming to Lake Forest, Anderson played professionally with the Danbury Hat Tricks of the Federal Prospects Hockey League for six seasons. He registered career-highs in 2021-22 with 32 goals and 47 points and was +25 that season.
From 2022 to 2024 Anderson served as an assistant coach for the Bakersfield Roughnecks of the United States Premier Hockey League. The team improved by 11 victories in his second season and posted an overall record of 43-42-2 during his tenure.
Anderson's coaching career also includes 10 years with Triumph Hockey Development, his personal hockey training company. Through the organization he has conducted numerous hockey clinics and has provided weekly private lessons.
Anderson played collegiate hockey at Manhattanville University, where the forward scored 36 goals and added 32 assists in 106 career games. He was a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference All-Rookie Team and later earned Second Team All-MIddle Atlantic Conference honors. Manhattanville was 56-42-12 in his career and advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division III Tournament during his senior season. He graduated in 2019 with a bachelor's degree in sport studies.
