Amanda Di Nella

The 2023-34 season will be the fifth for Amanda Di Nella as an assistant coach at the College. She works with the team's goaltenders throughout the season and manages the defense during games.

Lake Forest is 47-36-5 overall and 35-16-3 in Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play since Di Nella joined the staff. Under her direction, Olyvia Opsahl was a Second Team West All-American in 2021-22. At least one defenseman or goaltender has earned All-NCHA honors in each of Di Nella's four seasons with the program and three defensemen have been named to the NCHA All_Freshman Team during that span.

The Foresters have surrendered just 1.67 goals per NCHA contest over the last four years.

Di Nella completed a four-year playing career at Gustavus Adolphus College in 2019 and made more saves than any other goaltender in program history. The two-time ACHA All-American West First Team selection and two-time All-Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference honoree went 49-23-15 with a .927 save percentage and 1.55 goals against average in her career. She helped lead the Gusties to a pair of MIAC championships and two appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament, including a third-place finish in 2017.

Di Nella, a native of Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois, and a graduate of Willowbrook High School, played for the Chicago Mission before attending Gustavus Adolphus and helped lead the 19U team to a national title in 2015.

In addition to coaching, Di Nella is also continuing her education and plans to pursue a career in nursing.
