The 2011-12 season is the fourth for Kristen Fink on thecoaching staff at her alma mater. She will work primarily with thepost players, as she did her first two seasons on staff. Lastseason she directed the team’s guards. Fink will alsocontinue to be involved with the staff’s recruiting effortsand be in charge of alumni relations.

Lake Forest is 40-30 overall and 31-19 in Midwest Conferenceplay in Fink’s first three years as an assistant coach.

From the spring of 2005 to the summer of 2009, Fink was the heador assistant coach of numerous youth teams in and around the LakeForest area. She worked with travel teams consisting of players asyoung as sixth graders or as old as high school juniors as a coachwith Full Package Athletics since 2005. Fink also spent two seasonsas an assistant at Lake Forest Academy.

Fink was a four-year letter winner in basketball and soccerwhile a student at Lake Forest College. She earned the Nicholas J.Wasylik Award, which is presented to the senior athlete who bestemulates the positive, outgoing attitude as well as the drive anddetermination of the College’s former Athletic Director(1959-73). She helped the 2001-02 Forester basketball team capturea Midwest Conference championship and led the 2004-05 squad inblocked shots. The soccer team claimed a pair of league titlesduring her career and she finished with the 15th-highest pointtotal in program history.

In addition to coaching, Fink has also been an elementaryteacher since August of 2005 and is currently teaching second gradeat the School of St. Mary in Lake Forest.
