Anthony Fagan joined the Forester softball staff in an official capacity prior to the 2017 season and serves as an assistant coach and the team's director of operations.

The Foresters posted a 28-16-1 overall record and claimed their second straight Midwest Conference championship with a 14-2 mark during league play in 2025. Lake Forest also hosted and won the four-team MWC Tournament to advance to the NCAA Division III Tournament. Seven Foresters were named all-conference, including MWC Position Player of the Year Emmie Nyen and two other first team selections. Nyen, Kaia Mismash, and Riley Stiles were also National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region IX honorees.

Lake Forest is 219-119-3 overall and 113-20 in Midwest Conference play in Fagan's nine seasons with the program. The Foresters earned back-to-back league titles and appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament in 2018 and 2019 and reached the NCAA Regional Tournament final in the latter of those two seasons. They also captured conference championships in 2022, 2024, and 2025 and advanced to another NCAA Tournament in 2025.

Fagan contributes to the coordination of the team's travel plans and collects and provides data to the coaching staff for scouting purposes. He also assists the head coach on the field at practices and in the dugout on game days.

A 1994 graduate of the College, Fagan has remained involved with the athletic department at his alma mater as an avid fan and by volunteering at home contests in several sports.
