The 2013 season is Lucas Zicher's fourth with the Forestersoccer program. He was also on staff from 2009-11 and the team was31-20-4 during that time. Zicher works extensively with the team'sgoalkeepers and assists the head coach in several other aspects ofthe program.
Under Zicher's direction, Forester goalkeepers combined torecord 18 shutouts in three seasons. Lake Forest surrendered just36 goals in 37 games during his last two years.
Zicher is well known to the soccer community in the Chicagoarea. He was the starting goalkeeper at John Hersey HighSchool in Arlington Heights, Illinois, for three years and receivedhonors on the conference, sectional and state level. He wenton to play collegiate soccer at DePaul University and finished hiscareer at Trinity International University, graduating with adegree in sports wellness and management in 2008.
Zicher has played and trained with soccer clubs all aroundthe the country and abroad, including the ClevelandCity Stars, Carolina Railhawks, Wilmington Hammerheads, DeportivoAlaves, SV Wehen, HNK Zrinski and Werder Bremen. He also hasextensive local and international coaching experience with clubssuch as Chicago Fire Juniors and Werder Bremen Academy.
He holds a United States Soccer Federation D coachinglicense.
