Jordan Alvarez

Jordan Alvarez

Jordan Alvarez officially joined the Forester cross country coaching staff prior to the 2013 season. However, he also worked with several of the team's runners during the previous spring as a volunteer assistant coach for the College's track club.

Alvarez helped lead the 2014 Forester men to a third-place finish at the Midwest Conference Championships while the women placed fifth for the second year in a row. They were eighth and 11th, respectively, the year before he arrived at the College. Fourteen of the top 25 men's 8-kilometer times and 16 of the 25 best women's 6-kilometer marks in program history have been recorded in the last two seasons.

While 2013 was his first year coaching cross country at the collegiate level, Alvarez spent three years as a volunteer assistant track and field coach at Fairview High School, his alma mater in Sherwood, Ohio.

Alvarez is also a 2011 graduate of Heidelberg University in Tiffin, Ohio. He served as the team's captain during his final two seasons and earned a bachelor's degree in computer information systems.
