The Lake Forest College women's hockey team was defeated 5-0 Saturday night at Adrian College, the eighth-ranked team in the nation. It was one of two semifinal games in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association Slaats Cup Playoffs.
Adrian took the early lead just 33 seconds into the contest but did not score again in the opening period. A 5-on-3 power play led to the Bulldogs second goal of the game at 10:18 in the second and they added another power play score just 48 seconds later. The lead grew to four late in the second period and reached five on the home team's third power play goal of the night just 30 seconds into the third.

Chelsea Denniss had 43 saves by the end of the second period and finished the game with a career-high 56, the fifth-highest single-game total in team history.
The Foresters finished the season with an overall record of 12-16 and Adrian heads to the championship game of the league's postseason tournament with a mark of 23-5.
