Senior guard
Alex Forowycz was an offensive force Tuesday night against Lawrence University, leading the Lake Forest men's basketball team to a 87-71 victory at the Sports and Recreation Center.
Forowycz scored 30 points on 12-of-19 shooting; it was his second consecutive 30-point game and third time reaching that mark this season.
With the performance, Forowycz moved into eighth place on the Lake Forest all-time scoring list, passing Jermaine Williams, Danny Sotos, and Ken Kelly.
Forward
Cristian Rodriguez scored 14 points and grabbed 15 rebounds for his eighth double-double of the season.
Guard
Alex Brown was an efficient 5-of-6 shooting and scored 11 points, while wing
Coltrane Marchand scored 10 points and secured nine rebounds. Marchand was 2-for-4 from the three-point line, marking the first time he's made multiple threes in a game since Nov. 15, 2025, against MSOE.
It was the Forowycz show offensively to get the game started for Lake Forest. The senior hit a three-pointer for the hosts' first basket, passing Greg Klos for third all-time in Lake Forest history for career made three-pointers.
From there, Forowycz caught fire. He drove left to the elbow, pump faked to get his defender in the air, and still made the 15-foot jumper through contact for an and-one. Forowycz wasn't done yet, however, making a layup and two more midrange jumpshots to fuel the Forester offense early.
Forowycz started 6-of-6 from the field, capped by a stepback three-pointer from the wing to give Lake Forest a 22-12 lead and force a Lawrence timeout just over seven minutes into the game. He scored 15 of Lake Forest's first 22 points and finished the half with 17 points in total.
Rodriguez, making his first appearance off the bench this season, stuffed the stat sheet with 12 points and nine rebounds before halftime.
Lake Forest held Lawrence to 30.6 percent shooting in the first half and went into intermission with a 43-29 lead.
In the second half, Lake Forest kept Lawrence at an arm's length. The Foresters would lead by at least 13 points for the entire half, and the hosts pushed the advantage to as many as 23 points down the stretch.
The Foresters will be back in action Saturday for their final home game of the season. Lake Forest will honor its senior class of
Ben Bochicchio,
Luke Arington, Brown, Forowycz, and Rodriguez on Senior Day against Grinnell College. Tip off is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
