The 2025 Midwest Conference Swimming & Diving Championship Meet at Grinnell College began Thursday night with the women's and men's 800-freestyle relay and the Foresters finished second in both races.

The program's annual updating of the top five performers in school history in each event also began Thursday night. The women's time of 7:47.50 ranks them fifth in team annals while the men's 6:57.11 is now second on their list.

Freshman Isabella Rozenbergas led off for the women and her 200-freestyle split of 1:55.54 also ranks fifth in that individual event. She was followed by sophomore Audrey Kilmer, freshman Alexa Taylor, and junior Valeria Welk. Welk is now part of three of the program's top five performances in the event, including the record set two seasons ago.

Senior Noah McAdam started for the Forester men with a split of 1:42.44, which ranks him fourth in team history. Sophomore Gavin Biccum, senior Ben Jacob, and junior Demetri Zemenides followed him in the race and joined him in the school record books.

The four-day meet will continue on Friday with prelims and finals in the 200-freestyle relay, 500-freestyle, 200-IM, 50-freestyle, and 400-medley relay as well as the women's 1-meter and men's 3-meter diving competition.
