The Foresters women's lacrosse team won its ninth consecutive game on Wednesday, a 21-8 triumph over Illinois Wesleyan University on Farwell Field.
Lake Forest junior
Jenna Doctor, whose streak of eight straight games with at least four goals ended on Sunday, matched her own program record with seven scores on Wednesday. It was her fourth career seven-goal performance and she added an assist for a career-high-tying eight points. Doctor also broke the school record for goals in a season with 51, one more than senior
Ali Graham's total from a year ago.
Doctor's records were not the only ones tied or surpassed on Wednesday. Senior
Ryleigh Nelson scored two goals and assisted on five others, raising her point total this spring to 69. Graham also had that record with 66 last season. Nelson had already broken the record for assists in a season on Saturday and now has 39.
Sophomore
Emma Sharp recorded her fifth hat trick of the year and third in the last four games while classmate
Daulath Khan also finished with three goals, matching her career high.
Graham and freshman
Ella Maher each scored a pair of goals and contributed in other statistical categories as well. Maher finished with a team-high five draw controls and Graham tied for the team lead with three ground balls while her six caused turnovers matched the second-highest single-game total in program history.

Forester goalies made five saves in the game, three by sophomore
Cecilia Adams in the first three quarters and two by junior
Calliope Saban in the fourth.
Doctor started the scoring and had three goals and an assist in the first quarter, which ended with the home team ahead 8-3. She netted three more scores and Sharp struck twice in the second, giving Lake Forest a 16-5 advantage at halftime. The score was 20-5 a pair of Khan goals in the third.
The Foresters improved to 9-2 while the Titans fell to 5-5 on the year.
Lake Forest will resume Midwest Lacrosse Conference play Saturday afternoon at 1:00 with a home game against the University of Northwestern.
