The Lake Forest College swimmers posted victories at Carroll University on Saturday with the women prevailing 131-69 and the men 152-38.
The Foresters won 21 of the meet's 26 events, including three each by senior
Noah McAdam, sophomore,
Audrey Kilmer, and freshman
Isabella Rozenbergas.
McAdam won the 200-IM in 2:04.33 and the 200-backstroke with a time of 1:59.99. He also led off the victorious 400-freestyle relay with a split of 48.25 seconds and was followed by fellow seniors
Ben Jacob and
Tucker Potts and junior
Noah Garza.
Rozenbergas and Kilmer followed freshman
Joss Hoffman and junior
Amelie Andres for a time of 1:55.78 and a victory in the first event of the meet, the 200-medley relay. Rozenbergas added victories in the 200-freestyle (1:58.91) and 500-freestyle (5:24.67). Kilmer touched the wall first in the 200-breaststroke (2:33.96) and 200-butterfly (2:13.54).
The Forester men actually had the top two teams in the 200-medley relay with sophomores
Benjamin Scott,
Clayton Berg,
Cameron Schlosser, and
Gavin Biccum winning in 1:39.10. Biccum also won the next event, the 1650-freestyle, with a time of 17:59.02.
Additional victories for the Lake Forest men came from freshman
Matthew Strada in the 200-freestyle (1:49.07) and 200-breaststroke (2:18.94), Jacob in the 200-butterfly (2:03.92), and juniorÂ
Demetri Zemenides in the 500-freestyle (5:17.93).
On the women's sideÂ
Abigail Atwell took first place in the 1650-freestyle (19:43.06), freshman
Alexa Taylor in the 50-freestyle (26.75), and Andres in the 100-freestyle (57.66).
The Forester women are now 3-2 and the men 2-3 in dual meets this season. Carroll's women fell to 3-3 and the men to 1-5.
Lake Forest will host the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh next Saturday afternoon at 1:00.
