Lake Forest was defeated 4-0 Sunday afternoon at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, the eighth-ranked team in the nation.

The Falcons jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the opening period, scoring at 10:27, 18:03, and 19:44.

After a scoreless second stanza, the home team accounted for the only goal in the third at the 9:18 mark.

River Falls out-shot the Foresters 40-22 in the contest and completed the opening weekend series sweep.

After a weekend off, Lake Forest will open Northern Collegiate Hockey Association play against visiting College of St. Scholastica November 15-16.
