Spellmire scored what turned out be the official game-winning goal at the 9:15 mark of the second period. Freshman forward Amy Budde assisted on the score, which extended the Forester lead to 3-1.

Spellmire struck again at the 7:11 mark of the third period. Senior defenseman Alex Stensland assisted on Spellmire's 10th goal of the season. She now has 31 points on the year, matching the sixth-highest single-season total in team history.

Concordia Wisconsin closed out the scoring with 9:15 remaining in the contest.

The Falcons also scored the game's first goal two minutes and 50 seconds into the game, just eight seconds into a penalty kill. The Foresters tied the score at 4:34 during the same power play opportunity. It was the first goal of the season for sophomore defenseman Melissa Bodine, who was assisted by junior forward Isabel Regine.

Lake Forest took the lead on a goal by senior forward Michelle Greeneway at 8:17 in the first. Fellow senior forward Holly Lesperance assisted on Greeneway's NCAA Division III-leading 26th goal of the season. It was her 96th career goal and she now has 200 scores as a Forester in soccer and hockey combined.

Forester sophomore goaltender Jacqueline Audet made a dozen saves to earn her second victory in as many starts this season.
