Sam Del Vescovo joined the Lake Forest coaching staff in 2023.
Eleven players on the team reached double figures in points in Del Vescovo's first season with the program and a league record 23 Foresters were named to the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team.Â
Prior to coming to Lake Forest, Vescovo coached at Marquette University for two years, serving as head coach of the ACHA D3 team and as an assistant with the ACHA D2 program. He was involved with every aspect of the program.
Del Vescovo was also an assistant coach for the Milwaukee Power Hockey Team in 2020-21 running the defense and leading the staff's recruiting and scouting efforts.
A 2020 graduate of Indiana Institute of Technology, Del Vescovo went on to earn a master's degree in sports and recreation business from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2022.
In addition to coaching, Del Vescovo serves as an athletic facilities assistant at the College.
