Brian Bruha, the sixth head coach in Forester men's golf history but first since the program's return to varsity status in 2014, spent his 12th season at the helm of the program in 2025-26. He had been the club golf team's advisor and coach since 2006. In addition to coaching, Bruha has overseen the College's athletic facilities since 2005 and was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics – Facilities and Operations in 2019.

The Foresters placed third at the 2026 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship Tournament with the third-lowest 54-hole total in school history and their scoring average of 298.24 narrowly missed the program record. The 2025-26 team also posted three of the top eight rounds and two of the four best 36-hole scores in school history.

Tyler Wengronowitz (t-2nd) was named First Team All-SLIAC while Tyler Schick and Jack Lee finished among the top 16 at the conference tournament to earn second team honors. Lake Forest players have now earned 29 all-conference honors in the last 11 years. Wengronowitz, Lee, and Nate Choi completed the season with scoring averages that rank among the top 10 in program history and Wengronowitz is the career record-holder with a mark of 73.02.

Schick, Choi, and Wengronowitz were also among six Foresters named SLIAC All-Academic in 2026, giving the program 39 conference academic awards in Bruha's 12 seasons as head coach, and Schick repeated as an Academic All-District® selection by College Sports Communicators.

Bruha was named Midwest Conference Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2019. Lake Forest posted the best 54-hole MWC Championship Tournament score (918) in league history and made the program's first appearance at the NCAA Division III Championships in 2018. The Foresters matched that record and repeated as MWC champs in 2019.

A 2002 graduate of Lake Forest College, Bruha majored in history, minored in political science and sociology & anthropology, and was a four-year member of the Forester men's basketball team. He still ranks among the program leaders in career assists and steals.

Bruha moved to Monterey, California, after graduation and began working as a golf instructor at Pasadera Country Club. He returned to the College two years later as an assistant men's basketball coach, a role he served for three seasons.

He lives in nearby Libertyville with his wife Heather, who also graduated from Lake Forest in 2002, and their children Calhoun, Caton, and Coran.
