Brian Bruha, the sixth head coach in Forester men's golf history but first since the program's return to varsity status in 2014, spent his 11th season at the helm of the program in 2024-25. He had been the club golf team's advisor and coach since 2006. In addition to coaching, Bruha has overseen the College's athletic facilities since 2005 and was promoted to Associate Director of Athletics – Facilities and Operations in 2019.

The Foresters were the runners-up at the 2025 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championship Tournament with the lowest 54-hole total in school history and their scoring average of 297.50 was also the program's best by more than five strokes per round. Lake Forest's scoring average has now improved from the prior year in eight of the last 10 seasons. The 2024-25 team also posted six of the top eight rounds and the three best 36-hole scores in school history.

Tyler Wengronowitz (t-2nd) and Chris Petri (t-6th) were named First Team All-SLIAC while Tyler Schick and Luke Duffer tied for 13th at the conference tournament and to earn second team honors. Earlier in the season, Wengronowitz matched the best round in team annals with 6-under 66 at the Forester Spring Invite and he also set school records with a 36-hole score of 134 (-10) at the same event, 54-hole total of 211 (-5) at the SLIAC Championships, and season scoring average of 72.92. Three other Foresters also turned in scoring averages that rank among the top eight in program history.

Schick and Duffer were named SLIAC All-Academic in 2025, giving the program 33 conference academic awards in Bruha's 11 seasons as head coach, and Duffer added Academic All-District® accolades from College Sports Communicators.

Bruha was named Midwest Conference Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2019. Lake Forest posted the best 54-hole MWC Championship Tournament score (918) in league history and made the program's first appearance at the NCAA Division III Championships in 2018. The Foresters matched that record and repeated as conference champs in 2019, the league's final season of men's golf. Individual players on the team earned a dozen All-MWC awards in their five years in the league and were named MWC Performer of the Week eight times. A 2002 graduate of Lake Forest College, Bruha majored in history, minored in political science and sociology & anthropology, and was a four-year member of the Forester men's basketball team. He still ranks among the program leaders in career assists and steals.

Bruha moved to Monterey, California, after graduation and began working as a golf instructor at Pasadera Country Club. He returned to the College two years later as an assistant men's basketball coach, a role he served for three seasons.

He lives in nearby Libertyville with his wife Heather, who also graduated from Lake Forest in 2002, and their children Calhoun, Caton, and Coran.
