The Lake Forest College swimming and diving teams hosted Illinois Institute of Technology on Saturday and came out on top 151-81 on the women's side but fell 148-87 on the men's.
The Foresters celebrated their annual Alumni Day before the meet and honored their nine seniors during the first diving break.
Lake Forest athletes won 11 events, beginning with the women's 800m-freestyle. Junior
Audrey Kilmer completed 32 lengths of the pool in 9:38.22 for a victory by nearly 45 seconds.
The next race was the men's 200m-freestyle, which was taken by senior
Demetri Zemenides by just .04 seconds in 2:03.75.
Sophomore
Isabella Rozenbergas broke pool records in both of her individual events on Saturday. Her time of 2:20.74 won the 200m-IM by 19 seconds and her 1:01.69 in the 100m-butterfly gave her an eight-second victory. Both marks are now the best in the history of the Lake Forest College Sports and Recreation Center, which was constructed in 1968.
A streak of five straight Forester victories was started by sophomore
Joss Hoffman in the women's 100m-freestyle. She touched the wall first in 1:03.01 and was followed by junior
Ben Scott taking the men's 100m-backstroke in 1:03.61, Kilmer prevailing in the women's race with a time of 1:08.75, and junior
Gavin Biccum and freshman
Lucy Bolling sweeping the 400m-freestyle in 4:21.50 and 5:01.08, respectively.
Hoffman also started the final event of the day, the women's 400m-freestyle relay. Senior
Valeria Welk and Kilmer followed and Rozenbergas anchored the relay, which won by 31 seconds and set another pool record with a time of 4:04.82.
The Lake Forest women are now 7-2 and the men 5-4 in dual meets this year.
The Foresters will travel to St. Norbert College for a double dual that includes Beloit College next Saturday. It will be their final competition before the 2026 Midwest Conference Championships.
