10/25/2025 5:52:00 PM

The Lake Forest College swimming and diving teams traveled just north of the state line to compete in a double dual with Milwaukee School of Engineering and host Carthage College on Saturday.

The Forester women split, defeating MSOE 214-61 but falling to Carthage 134.5-162.5. The men were edged out 157-124 by the Raiders and 166-130 by the Firebirds.

Lake Forest athletes won 13 events, beginning with the women's 200-medley relay where sophomore Joss Hoffman, senior Amelie Andres, sophomore Isabella Rozenbergas, and junior Audrey Kilmer posted a time of 1:52.57 to edge out Carthage by just .16 seconds.

All four members of that relay were also victorious in individual events. Andres touched the wall first in the 200-freestyle (2:04.05) and 100-breaststroke (1:10.99) and Rozenbergas won both butterfly events, finishing the 200 in 2:09.27 and the 100 in 58.42 seconds. Hoffman added a victory in the 100-backstroke (1:02.96) and Kilmer in the 100-freestyle (55.15).

Kilmer and Rozenbergas also helped Lake Forest close out the meet with a triumph in the 200-freestyle relay, which they teamed up with senior Valeria Welk and freshman Avery Christian to post a time of 1:41.90.

An addition victory for the Forester women came from senior Audrey Peters, whose 169.15 points in 3-meter diving were the most in the field.

Junior Gavin Biccum and senior Demetri Zemenides turned in victories for the Lake Forest men in the meet's first two individual events. Biccum prevailed in the 1000-freestyle in 10:36.65 and Zemenides took the 200-freestyle with a clocking of 1:47.85.

Senior Andrew Lee finished first in the 200-breaststroke in 2:14.99 for the team's only other individual event victory.

The final event of the meet was a Forester sweep as junior Ben Scott, senior Alexander Wilson, junior Cameron Schlausser, and Zemenides took the men's 200-freestyle relay in 1:27.99 just before the women won their race.

After competing in a pair of double duals to open the season, Lake Forest will travel to Lawrence University for the Gene Davis Invitational in the team's next meet on November 8.
