The Forester swimming and diving teams competed for the first time in 2025 on Saturday with the men and women dropping dual meets to host Wheaton College.
Junior
Amelie Andres and senior
Noah McAdam each won a pair of individual events. Andres finished first in the women's 1000-freestyle by more than 17 seconds with a time of 11:17.33 and in the 100-breaststroke by more than four seconds in 1:11.00. With a time of 1:46.72, McAdam edged out the runner-up in the men's 200-freestyle by two-tenths of a second. He also prevailed by more than four seconds in the 100-backstroke, completing the race in 53.52 seconds.
Freshman
Isabella Rozenbergas added a victory by nearly four seconds in the women's 200-IM, which she finished in 2:16.15.
Lake Forest also had the winning team in both 200-freestyle relays to close out the meet. Rozenbergas, senior

Valeria Welk turned in a time of 1:40.32 in the women's race and McAdam was joined by sophomore

Demetri Zemenides in the men's race, which they completed in 1:27.96.
In addition to the victories, runner-up finishes were registered by sophomore
Gavin Biccum in the 1000-freestyle, Kilmer in the 100- and 200-freestyle, Paddon-Jones in the 50-freestyle, Zemenides in the 50- and 100-freestyle, freshman
Joss Hoffman and junior
Andrew Lee in the 200-IM, Rozenbergas in the 100-butterfly, Scott in the 100-backstroke, and Welk in the 500-freestyle.
The Wheaton women came out on top 127-98 while the Thunder men outscored the Foresters 141-88.
The Lake Forest women fell to 4-3 and the men to 3-4.
The Foresters will compete in a double-dual meet next Saturday, taking on Lawrence University and host University of Wisconsin-Whitewater at 1:00 p.m.
