After winning in five innings twice on Thursday, the Lake Forest College softball team repeated the feat on Saturday, prevailing 14-0 and 15-2 at Knox College.
Freshman pitcher
Jasmine Kohl earned her first career shutout in the opener, scattering three hits and four walks in the contest. She is now 1-1 with a 1.98 earned run average on the season.
Junior second baseman
Kelly Collins led the Forester offense, collecting three base hits in as many at-bats, including the 100th of her career. She scored three runs and drove in two, including the first of the game on a base hit in the top of the third. Sophomore third baseman
Cadence Dempsey doubled in a pair and sophomore left fielder
Brooke Swiecki added a two-run home run to complete the five-run rally.
Collins also tripled during a four-run fourth inning and drew a walk during a five-run fifth.

Cheyenne Pellettiere each had two hits while freshman center fielder
Kaia Mismash, sophomore right fielder
Emmie Nyen, and junior shortstop
Kaylee Purgatorio scored two runs apiece.
Swiecki had three more hits, cleared the outfield fence again, and drove in a career-high four runs in game two. Pellettiere and freshman right fielder
Jolie Devalk also turned in three-hit performances with Pellettiere's highlighted by a grand slam and career-high five runs batted in.
Mismash, Purgatorio, sophomore pitcher Makayla Tarasieicz, and freshman shortstop
Maci Lake added two hits apiece as the Foresters finished the game with 19, matching the eighth-highest single-game total in program history.
Tarasiewicz went the distance in the circle, allowing 11 base hits - all singles - but just two runs. She improved to 2-1 on the year.
Lake Forest led 3-2 after the first inning and added two runs in the second, one in the fourth, and nine in the fifth.
The Foresters improved to 15-9 overall and 6-0 in Midwest Conference play while Knox fell to 2-16 overall and 0-2 in the league.
Lake Forest will travel to Illinois College on Sunday for a 1:00 p.m. doubleheader. The teams are currently tied atop the MWC standings.
