Lake Forest College women's hockey player Olyvia Opsahl was named to the D3hockey.com Team of the Week on Wednesday after racking up three assists in the Foresters triumph over Aurora University last Friday.
Opsahl entered the contest with three assists on the season and matched that total in just one night. The freshman defenseman set up a pair of scores by senior forward Amy Budde in the opening period, one on the power play at 6:52 and another even strength just 64 seconds later. She also assisted on junior forward Lexi Morgan's goal just nine seconds into the second and was still on the ice for all but the final tally in the Foresters' 7-0 victory.
With six assists in 11 games this year, Opsahl is tied with three other players for the team lead. She is also tied-for-fourth on the squad in plus/minus and tied-for-fifth in points.
The D3hockey.com Team of the Week is comprised of a goaltender, two defensemen, and three forwards from around the nation and is announced on Wednesdays.
