Lake Forest College soccer player Gaston Aubert was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after scoring in each of his team's three games in the previous seven days.
Aubert gave the Foresters the early lead in both of their Midwest Conference victories over the weekend, scoring in the 25th minute of Saturday's 2-1 triumph over Grinnell College and just 70 seconds into a 3-0 win over Cornell College on Sunday. The senior's third goal of the week and team-high eighth of the year came on a penalty kick and tied the score with less three minutes remaining in an eventual 3-2 double-overtime loss at Carthage College Wednesday night.
Aubert, who also assisted on the team's other tally on Wednesday, has now scored or assisted on 13 of Lake Forest's 16 goals so far this season.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays. Aubert also earned the award on September 12.
