Lake Forest College men's soccer player Joao Godoy as named Midwest Conference Offensive Performer of the Week on Monday after racking up 11 points in a pair of victories last week.
Godoy, a sophomore midfielder, accounted for the Foresters' second and third goals in a 3-1 victory over visiting Beloit College on Tuesday. His first score gave the home team a 2-0 lead with two-and-a-half minutes to play in the opening period. After the Buccaneers pulled to within one in the 82nd minute, Godoy restored that two-goal advantage on a goal with just 4:17 on the clock.
Lake Forest hosted and defeated Lawrence University 7-1 on Saturday and Godoy finished the contest with seven points, adding an assist to his second hat trick of the season.
Godoy now ranks fourth in the league with nine goals on the year.
