Lake Forest College golfer Jacob Krugman was named Midwest Conference Performer of the Week on Wednesday for his performance at Knox College's Jim Wetherbee Memorial Invitational last weekend.
Krugman, a sophomore, scored in the mid-70s in both rounds of the event. He was three shots over par with a 75 on Friday and managed to card a 76 in Saturday's windy conditions to tie for second place in the 104-player field, just one shot off the lead. Lake Forest placed third out of 18 teams at the event.
Krugman is the team's leader in 2017-18 with an 18-hole scoring average of 74.9 strokes in 10 rounds. He is down to 76.38 shots per round in his career.
MWC Performers of the Week this spring are selected by the league's sports information directors. Krugman also earned the award three times last season.
