Brian Bruha came to Lake Forest College as a student in 1998. He was a four-year member, three-year starter, and two-year captain on the Forester basketball team. After graduating from the College with a Bachelor's degree in history and minors in both political science and sociology & anthropology, he moved to Monterey, California, where he began working as a golf instructor at Pasadera Country Club. He also coached the freshman boys basketball team at Carmel High School and assisted on the varsity squad.
Bruha returned to the College in 2004 and spent the next three years as an assistant coach for the men's basketball team. In 2005 he began serving in his current capacity as the Director of Athletic Facilities. He also directs the Forester club men's golf team in the spring.
He and his wife Heather, who also graduated from the College in 2002, live in nearby Libertyville with their children Calhoun, Caton, and Coran.
