The Midwest Conference announced the 2016 All-MWC Volleyball teams on Friday and Lake Forest College's Grace Larson was a second team honoree. The announcement was made at the 2016 MWC Tournament, which was hosted by league champion Cornell College.
Larson, a sophomore outside hitter who was also a Second Team All-MWC selection last season, leads the league with 44 aces and ranks 90th in the nation in aces per set. She is also tied-for-fourth in the conference with a team-high 269 kills and finished third on the squad with 240 digs. Larson reached double figures in kills and digs in the same match 11 times and accomplished the feat in five of the team's nine conference matches. Her 126 kills during MWC play led the league.
Larson was one of just three sophomores to be listed among the top 16 players in the conference. There were seven seniors among the eight first team selections and two more on the second team.
The Foresters finished the season with a 7-17 overall record and tied for seventh place in the league standings with a 3-6 mark in MWC play.
