Freshmen Brant Christensen and Louis Payne battled for an 8-7 (10-8) victory at #3 doubles but the Forester men's tennis team was defeated 7-2 at Chapman College in California Friday night.

The victory by Christensen and Payne evened the score at 1-1 but the home team quickly regained the lead with an 8-6 win at #2 doubles.

The Panthers added points at the bottom three and then top two spots in the singles lineup to clinch the match. Lake Forest's other triumph came at #3 singles, where junior Matt Kacyn came out on top of a 6-4, 7-5 decision to account for the final score.
