Lake Forest Falls to Benedictine

The Forester men's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by visiting Benedictine University on Sunday.

The visitors scored their first goal at the 26:33 mark and added an insurance score at 34:59. They out-shot the home team 5-3 in the first half and 10-7 in the final 45 minutes.

Lake Forest senior goalkeeper Tero Elias made a season-high six saves on the day.

The loss dropped the Foresters' record on the season to 3-2-0 while Benedictine evened its mark at 2-2-0.

Lake Forest will compete in the Warrior Cup at Wisconsin Lutheran College next weekend and will begin the event by taking on Olivet College Friday evening at 6:00. The Foresters will also face the hosts Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
