Lake Forest College men's golfer Jacob Krugman was named Forester Athlete of the Week on Thursday after tying for fourth place out of 100 players at the Prairie Fire Classic last weekend.
Krugman, a freshman, finished the two-day event with a score of 148, matching the sixth-best 36-hole score in program history. He completed Friday's opening round in 73 strokes and carded a 75 on Saturday. He recorded six birdies on the weekend, including four in the final eight holes of round two.
The Foresters' top golfer with a 76.18 scoring average, Krugman has posted eight of the top 48 rounds in the Midwest Conference this season. He was also named MWC Performer of the Week on Tuesday.
Forester Athletes of the Week are selected by the Athletic Department on Thursdays.
